The Digital Address Book 1.5 was developed over almost a year of work, and it integrates many useful features that help manage your contacts to your specifications. Your contacts can be sorted, marked, printed, imported and exported to text files, found using a powerful find feature, indexed into easy to access lists, and more.
To use this contact manager you must have at least HyperCard 2.1, 1000k of memory allocated to HyperCard, and a reasonable amount of disk space.
Major features of The Digital Address Book 1.5:
•Sorting by first or last name, company, e-mail address, or the date the contact was created. Your sorting may be performed A to Z or Z to A.
•Printing your contacts. There are many different formats to choose from when printing.
•Importing & Exporting. You can export your contacts to a text file, which can be viewed by TeachText. This text file can then be imported back into the address book. This feature us useful for storing contacts that you rarely need to access. When you do need to access them you can import them back into the address book.
•Creating an index. When you create an index of your address book you are shown a list of all the contacts in your database. To navigate directly to a specific contact double-click on the desired line. The index contains the name of the contact, their company, and their first phone number.
•Finding your contacts. The find command in The Digital Address Book is easy to use, and performs like the find command in many word processors.
•Sectioning. You may organize your contacts into sections which you can name.
•Marking your contacts. This allows you do delete your contacts in bunches, index only selected contacts, or print only the marked cards. To mark a card click on the checkbox in the lower left hand corner of the screen with the word “Marked” beside it.
This stack is shareware. Shareware allows you to look at a program and see if you like it before paying for the program. If, after a reasonable period of time, you decide you like it, you send in a fee. Included with this program is a registration form. Print out the form, then fill it out. Send the form to the address at the bottom of it, along with $10.
